With the introduction of the new GimaGO-series, NET GmbH has added a further digital interface standard for machine vision cameras to its product portfolio. Together with the equally new USB2.0 CMOS series and the tried and tested IEEE 1394 FOculus-series, this means that nearly all interfaces required for image processing are covered.
The GimaGO-series consisting of 14 models in total offers an extensive choice of various resolutions in color and monochrome. In terms of form factor, hardware/software interface and attractive price/performance ratio, the GimaGO-series constitutes a user-friendly complete package.
The extremely small and robust aluminium housing (40 x 40 x 48mm) can withstand an exceptionally high level of continuous abuse in industrial applications and can be easily installed in any size-restricted work space. The common software platform shared by all GimaGO models guarantees the user the highest level of flexibility. It is thus possible to exchange the different models at any time without having to readapt them, thereby saving time and money.
All models ranging from VGA to 2 Megapixel are equipped with Sony CCD image sensors (1/3 to 2/3 inch) and possess a wide variety of special features such as an Auto-Iris function, Look-up Table and an adjustable lens attachment on a C-/CS-mount.
The GimaGO GO124B/C with 70 images per second at VGA resolution is the ideal camera for monitoring quality control in fast production processes and, due to its low price, is particularly suitable for analog-to-digital transition.
All cameras are fitted with an internal frame buffer with a capacity of up to 32MB, ensuring interference-free network transmission.
Together with the Auto-Iris function and the GigE Vision Standard, which makes the realization of longer cables less problematic, the GimaGO-series is especially suitable for licence plate capture and traffic monitoring, as the camera can always be optimally adjusted to any changes in the surroundings by regulating the lens aperture.
With the GenICam-compliant GimaGO models, NET GmbH is putting its trust in a new, future-oriented standard which, with regard to compatibility, flexibility and modularity, has become indispensable in the industrial image processing sector.
