Full-ruggedized UMPC Durios E8 Ultra for outdoor applications

The sources for special outdoor UMPCs which are able to withstand wind, rain, dust and snow is very limited. Most UMPCs on the market are designed for standard office use indoor or in vehicles like trains, car and busses. These UMPCs offer as much protection as a mobile phone. It is possible to operate the standard UMPCs in the field while single rain drops fall on the unit, but if the rain is stronger the units die within minutes.
Acturion releases the new full-rugged UMPC Durios E8 Ultra especially designed for harsh environmental conditions like rain, dust, ice and mechanical stress like drops to the ground and extreme vibration. The housing of the outdoor UMPC Durios E8 Ultra is completely sealed and consists of light alloy metal. The rugged UMPC Durios E8 Ultra is sealed according to IP54 and it fulfills the Military Standard MIL-STD810F.
