GEZE self-locking panic locks

The advantages of self-locking panic locks from GEZE include reliable burglar protection, quick opening in the event of an emergency and controlled access. GEZE MLS, HLS and PLS locks are used in applications where safe locking is used to prevent unauthorised access from outside while guaranteeing a quick escape in an emergency. Self-actuating relocking complies with insurance stipulations, although the door can also be opened with a key at any time from the outside.

The GEZE MLS motor lock secures the building’s entire exterior, giving burglars no chance. GEZE’s cross latch design and the associated jar-free opening and closing of the dead bolt reduces stress on electromechanical components. This benefit makes the MLS perfect for use with swing door drives. The door is unlocked by an electric motor in less than a second. The GEZE HLS lever lock is ideally suited for combining with access control systems. While the panic function operates in the escape direction, the outside handle is uncoupled from the lock mechanism. An electrical signal can be emitted by an access control system to couple the outside handle for a specific period of time or permanently, thus opening the door against the escape direction.

Like all GEZE locks, the GEZE PLS mechanical panic lock also guards against break-ins reliably by means of a 20 mm dead bolt. At the same time, the mechanical or electronic timeout function prevents the dead bolt from closing prematurely if the auxiliary latch is activated by mistake or improperly when the door is open. The panic function can be used to open the door safely in the escape direction at any time.
