Humidity and Temperature Sensors C.Ex with ATEX certificate

The Galltec+Mela sensors in the series GC and KC, equipped with capacitive sensor elements for measuring relative humidity and temperature, are certified according to Directive 94/9/EC for potentially explosive areas in the categories 2 G, 1/2 G and 2 D – and therefore for areas with a potentially explosive gas atmosphere or for locations with inflammable dust. The connection to electric circuits that are not inherently safe is achieved with special transmitter power supply units with galvanic isolation between input-/output circuits and power supply.

The sensors have been designed electrically so that power supply units of up to U0=24 V can be used. They are available as humidity or temperature, as well as combined humidity and temperature sensors. (measurement ranges 0...100 % rh and/or -20 ... +80°C respectively). On application, we also offer special models, such as sensors with an elongated sensor pipe or sensors with a particular temperature measurement range (0 ... 50 °C or 0 ... 100 °C).
