Spectrophotometer for Material Sciences

PerkinElmer Life and Analytical Sciences announced the launch of a new spectrophotometer capable of testing a significantly expanded range of advanced materials, including highly reflective and anti-reflective coatings, all types of glass from clear to highly absorbing safety glass, and all types of optical filters. The Lambda 1050 will help material scientists in a diverse range of industries to accelerate the development of engineered materials including those designed to improve energy conservation or harness renewable energy sources, said Richard Begley, President, Analytical Sciences, PerkinElmer. With its three-detector design, the instrument has a full scanning range from 175-3,300 nanometers.
