Büchi Labortechnik introduces the next stage of multiple sample processing with a rotary evaporator. While conventional sample work-up with a rotary evaporator captivates by its ease of operation, robustness, and flexibility, it is limited to single evaporation or mediocre parallel evaporation with the so-called spider. However, a convincing solution for the work-up of various samples with a rotary evaporator without cross-contamination so far has been unknown. The Multivapor tackles this problem by heating up to 12 samples separately in cylindrical transparent water baths. Boiling retardation is prevented by a vigorous vortex induced by a thorough horizontal orbital movement of the heating plate. A vacuum manifold with individual sample connection conducts the vapour to the condenser assembly of the rotary evaporator. Thus, this design principle combines both, sequential flexible evaporation of single samples, and parallel evaporation of multiple samples with the same assembly.
