Bruker AXS Microanalysis Introduces a Powerful Solution for Automatic Steel Cleanliness Analysis

At Pittcon 2008, Bruker AXS Microanalysis introduced its new automatic steel cleanliness analysis software solution. The software runs on the companys Quantax EDS analysis systems and permits unattended high accuracy screening of steel samples for inclusions using a scanning electron microscope. Analyses of the steel specimens are performed according to the most common industrial standards regarding steel cleanliness, including ISO 4967, EN 10247, ASTM standards E45 and E2142 as well as DIN 50602. Additionally the user can define own parameter sets in order to customize the system for specific analysis purposes. The software supports versatile result reporting as statistics, graphs or Microsoft Excel files.
