The new generation of Data Matrix read devices
Data Matrix is the correct code for use when its a matter of providing a lot of data in a small area. The new generation of read devices is now able to acquire this data even faster than before and offers resolution in the mega pixel range. The integrated Ethernet interface provides a fast connection to an available Ethernet network and a rapid exchange of data.
The new Data Matrix read devices from Pepperl+Fuchs are designed with a 600 MHz DSP and high performance LEDs for extremely short exposure times and the emphasis on speed, to permit passing speeds of up to 6 m/s. The Global Shutter Technology provides distortion-free images. The system can therefore also reliably be used for time-critical applications in the pharmaceutical industry and in the letter shop. Thanks to its minimal read distance of 60 mm and its small size, the MAC400 is also suitable for installation on machinery.
The CMOS chip with mega pixel resolution enables the faultless reading of the smallest data matrix codes and thus extends the range of application of these read devices. The read window can be easily adapted to the respective code via the VGA video output.
The integrated error image memory assists fault diagnosis, permitting simple evaluation of the false reading. A memory expansion is possible using MMC cards.
The MAC400 read devices are available in both straight and angled construction and with a metal housing to IP67 for industrial application. In addition to the customary RS232 interface an Ethernet interface is integrated for simple connection to an available network.
