Sirax

With precise and near real-time accounting, airlines can significantly increase their revenue and control their company with greater assurance and purpose. Lufthansa Systems has developed a highly integrated passenger revenue accounting system called Sirax, based on the SAP R/3 Development Workbench. Sirax provides the user with numerous cost, time, and quality benefits.

Thanks to its high level of automation, Sirax can reduce the revenue accounting workload for airlines by up to 70%. For example, the data of the boarding cards issued at the check-in counter are immediately read out electronically and fed into Sirax via direct data transfer. This is followed by fully automatic matching between the ticket sold and the boarding card or flight performed. On this basis, incorporating all the relevant details, the actual revenue is finally ascertained.

In the automatic execution of these processes, Sirax achieves precision which is unique in the industry to date, with the result that losses for the airlines due to possibly missed interline settlements with other airlines or tariffs charged at too low a rate due to flight class deviations can be significantly reduced.
