High-definition Quality in Micro Cameras

Genuine 16:9 High Definition (HD) quality is now achievable with Panasonics new micro camera system, the GPUS932. Until now, only the customary standard resolution has generally been available for applications in the medical, research or industrial sectors. Images can now be captured in genuine HD quality. The new camera system offers a level of quality that was virtually impossible to provide cost-effectively in previous micro cameras. As well as HD format, the classic SD format is also available. The micro cameras feature a camera head that is connected by a cable. It contains integrated high-tech components that ensure virtually loss-free digitisation of the video signal with a resolution of 3 x 14 bit. The signals are processed in the controller unit with a bandwidth of 3 x 19 bit.
