New Plastic Handle for Insertion Probes

The insertion probes from JUMO GmbH & Co. KG, Fulda, Germany, have been used successfully for many years in the food sector. As in so many other sectors, the trend to smaller designs is growing here, too. As a result, JUMO has developed a new, compact plastic handle for insertion thermocouples and insertion resistance thermometers.

The handle fits the hand well, and, in practice, makes work easier for the user. The low weight also prevents the insertion probe falling out of the product during the cooking process. The plastic that is used is, of course, food-compatible, resistant to acidic and oil-bearing cleaning agents, and suitable for temperatures up to 260°C (briefly to 300°C). Cable entry at the side, reinforced to prevent kinking, provides additional protection for the cable when it is being handled.

Classic requirements, such IP67 protection, high mechanical strength, vapor-tight sealing and high pressure resistance are all met, of course.  The measuring insert can be built in the familiar forms, with one, two or four measuring points. Concentric or diagonal measuring tips in stainless steel can be provided, as can different cable lengths and terminations.

This product conforms to the very latest methods and requirements in the food and beverage industries.
