Rapid Determination of Measurement Uncertainty

In order to be able to evaluate analytical ­results properly, one has to know the degree of uncertainty involved. Therefore, measurement uncertainty of the analytical results is a parameter more and more ­required, especially from accredited laboratories. UncertaintyManager from VWR International is a new software tool for the rapid determination of the measurement uncertainty of analytical results according to international standards Eurachem / CITAC Guide Quantifying Uncertainty in Analytical Measurement and ISO Guide to the Expression of Uncertainty in Measurement (GUM). The software, based on a substantial database, comprises numerous functions that facilitate data entry, enable critical parameters to be visualised, calculate the measurement uncertainty and to compile a suitable report. Using UncertaintyManage software allows to calculate measurement uncertainty in very short time, taking into account the complete analytical procedure.
