3M announces another advancement in worker safety
the 3M 6038 Filter.
This innovation combines the light weight of particulate filter products with the filtration capacity of carbon-loaded media found in heavier products. The product is tested and approved to meet the minimum requirements of the amended EN143:2000 Class P3R.

All of these features are encapsulated in a lightweight, low profile design with a hard shell plastic case to help deflect sparks and splashes and for use in higher temperature environments. The 3M™ 6038 air-inlet design helps reduce caking, clogging, or soiling with dirt, grime, water or dust.
Applications
The new 3M™ 6038 Filter can be used in a variety of applications. Including grinding and welding areas where flying grit or sparks typically occur; health care, hospitals, or pharmaceutical plants where decontamination is required; construction and abatement where cleaning fluid or diesel odors are present, as well as smelting or mining areas where hydrogen fluoride (HF) develops.
In addition to its wide applicability, the 3M™ 6038 filter has remarkably low breathing resistance, is lightweight with only 86 grams, and has a small profile to help increase user’s field of view. Its unique, patented bonded web technology has more surface area than many standard particulate filters.
