Following the success of the award-winning RX Series Video Recording Servers, TeleEye has expanded the line to fleet security applications. TeleEye has recently launched TeleEye RX504, a professional mobile video recording server using the proprietary SMAC-M multi-stream video compression technology. It is one of the world’s first mobile digital video servers which support HSDPA.
TeleEye RX504 digitally compresses videos and generates independent data streams to cater for efficient transmission and high-resolution recording. It achieves recording rate up to 25/30 fps at D1 resolution. 100/120 fps of recorded video on all video channels can be achieved at CIF resolution. The video data are also efficiently transmitted via LAN, ADSL, PSTN and mobile channels. It delivers no compromise performance on simultaneous recording and transmission via mobile network.
The 4-channel RX504 is effective for transportation security and fleet management applications. When there is an incident, with a mobile data modem, the driver can push a button to trigger the TeleEye RX504 to send video back to a designated receiving PC or central monitoring station via HSDPA, UMTS, EDGE or GPRS. It provides up to 16 external alarm inputs to respond to wide range of events such as external alarm, tamper, video motion detection, overheat, etc. Playback and backup of video recorded in the internal mobile 2.5” HDD can also be performed via WiFi network after the vehicle returning back to the depot.
TeleEye RX504 designs for tough automotive environment allowing it to withstand repetitive shocks and heavy vibrations generated by traveling vehicle. It can be detached easily and is protected from shock and vibration by a specially designed shock absorption mounting bracket.
TeleEye RX504 is perfect for transportation security, where fixed network can not be reached. It enhances the safety of passengers, drivers, good delivery and much more.
More about SMAC-M
Unlike traditional video coders such as MPEG-4, SMAC-M compresses incoming analogue video and outputs 5 optimal and independent digital video streams instead of a single one. The first video stream of an SMAC-M coder is reserved for real-time video recording. The other four video streams are designed for efficient transmission through LAN, broadband Internet, phone line and mobile channels. The separate data streams for recording and transmission lead to optimum performance for TeleEye RX on both aspects in all media. TeleEye RX with SMAC-M technology records 60% longer than MPEG-4 DVR and 4 times longer than MJPEG or JPEG 2000 DVR.
