Enabling switch: ZSM

Versatility is the key! The new ZSM enabling switch from EUCHNER is more than just an ordinary enabling switch. It sets itself apart from other manually operated control devices thanks to its modular and ergonomic design, which makes it suitable for many different functions.

Enabling switches are manually operated control devices that, together with other control switches, enable commands related to potentially hazardous conditions to be run, as long as the enabling switches are actuated continuously. These switches are used wherever personnel must work directly in the danger area on running machines and systems. This is necessary, for example, during setting up, programming, testing or servicing work.

EUCHNER GmbH + Co. KG has specialized in development of enabling switches for many decades

With its new ZSM enabling switch, the company is now bringing a new highlight onto the market, because the ZSM is more than just an ordinary enabling switch. Thanks to its modular design, a large number of additional functions can be integrated. Additional components, such as a stop device, an LED indicator or a key-operated switch, mean that the ZSM offers maximum versatility, and almost turn it into a small hand-held pendant station. A special feature is the new vibration signal that tells the operator whether the enabling switch is in the enabling position.

In order to achieve maximum acceptance among users, attention was paid to ensuring safe and balanced handling when designing the switch. With its rubberized grip, the switch lies securely in the hand. The well thought-out design and the low weight permit fatigue-free working, even over long periods.
The new ZSM enabling switch is available from summer 2007.
