Two new safety switches STP Twin and SGP Twin

Two doors but only one switch for protection?
Where in the past two safety switches were necessary, it is now possible to make real cost savings using the new Twin versions of the SGP and STP series from EUCHNER. Like the proven and familiar safety switches STP and SGP, both series feature a plastic housing and a metal head.

With their new double head, the switches STP Twin and SGP Twin can now protect two safety doors (hinged and sliding doors) with just a single switch.

“Turn two into one” – this calculation now works out with the Twin switches. And the advantages are obvious: it is not just the fact that it is possible to dispense with one safety switch, but also the reduction in wiring and easier evaluation which make the Twin switches a genuine cost-cutting solution.
Thanks to use of the same actuator family and standard mounting dimensions, users can choose between the SGP Twin without guard locking and the STP Twin with guard locking, depending on application.

As an option, a mechanical key release is available for the STP Twin. This feature can also be used as a lockout for the guard locking function. Unintentional guard locking activation can then be prevented. This excludes the possibility of cleaning and maintenance personnel being trapped inside the installation if the safety door accidentally closes. The position of the guard locking is visible in a window on the switch head.

A lock is available on request for the SGP Twin for a manual guard locking function. This means that the safety guard can be “padlocked” in closed position. The actuators can then no longer be removed from the switch head.

The Twin switch versions are available from summer 2007.
