Is there anybody who has not come across situations in the laboratory or when charging or removing samples where handling powders, granules or particularly viscous media has proved difficult with conventional laboratory bottles? Also pipetting liquids through a narrow neck on a bottle or inserting electrodes all too often turns into a test of patience that you would rather do without.
The new SCHOTT DURAN® GLS 80 screw neck bottles from DURAN of Mainz solve the problem quite convincingly without taking anything away from the fundamental properties of SCHOTT DURAN® laboratory bottles that users are so familiar with. For, unlike simple plastic and soda-lime glass bottles, the new product line is just as temperature resistant, autoclaveable, highly resistant to chemical attack and inert as its predecessors.
All sizes of the new bottle have a mouth approx. 80 mm wide and all are fitted with a PP closure. You can choose your favourites from six sizes ranging from 500 ml to 20,000 ml.
In addition to the quick release closure, connection systems are to be introduced shortly to cater for charging or removing liquids via flexible tubes. These wide neck bottles can thus be used as storage vessels for work in pressure tight systems.
In addition to the standard version there will also be brown and plastic coated versions of the SCHOTT DURAN GLS 80 wide neck bottles available in future
