Compact, but with a great performance: the new image-processing computer Video­lab vision4rail from Asentics offers the versatile performance of a complex system yet takes up so little space that it can easily be integrated into a switch cabinet. The outstanding performance is ensured by the special configuration of the computer: Asentics has combined a high-performance Pentium M processor with the operating system 2000/XP and a RAM with optional capacity from 256 MB up to 1 GB. The hard disk also offers plenty of storage space with a capacity of up to 60 GB. With this layout, even the most difficult image-processing tasks can be solved with ease. The computer is ideally suitable for example for surface, completeness and dimensional accuracy checks, as well as for presence and position checks. It can recognise parts, read codes and also handle general quality controls.
