With the intelligent Ethernet I/O modules MX3701 and MX3700 a new distributed platform for the acquisition of 16 displacement transducers (Half bridge or LVDT), which is based on the ARM®9 technology. The I/O modules are available as version with 4, 8 or 16 channels with degree of protection IP 65 or IP 40. Several modules can be cascaded so that the separate connection of each module to the PC is not necessary anymore. Also the external trigger signal can be cascaded from one module to the next. Additionally, the E/A modules can be synchronised among each other. Thanks to the combination of synchronising and cascading of the trigger signal it is possible to acquire data from several modules simultaneously and to trigger the transducer acquisition with encoders. The Onboard RAM stores the acquired data and the integrated processor allows the data processing. The modules are delivered with drivers, samples and transducer calibration and update tool.
