More stringent investigations and numerous customer applications, for example in the automotive industry, have confirmed: the use of nano-coatings – a wafer-thin glass-like sealing of the cooling vanes – in TopTherm cooling units creates significant time and cost benefits for the user, especially under extreme application conditions. Rittal is therefore offering its complete TopTherm cooling unit range with immediate effect with the innovative RiNano coating. The new nano-sealing means lower adhesion of dirt to the heat-exchanger vanes, easier cleaning and longer service and maintenance intervals, thereby substantially reducing costs.
In the case of heat exchangers in particular, the cooling output can be reduced by the accumulation of dirt by as much as 30 to 50%. Thanks to the water-, dirt- and oil-repellent action of the RiNano coating, the cooling output of the units can therefore be maintained at a constant level over an extended period. By means of the waferthin glasslike sealing of the cooling vanes, much lower levels of dirt are accumulated on the cooling units, making the condensers much easier to clean and increasing the costly and time-consuming maintenance intervals. In many applications, such as dry dusts, filter mats can also be dispensed with. In applications using oil-bearing air, the working life of metal filters is also extended significantly.
Condensate evaporation as standard
In addition to the RiNano coating, all Rittal TopTherm cooling units are also equipped with integrated condensate evaporation. This user-friendly system functions efficiently by means of direct evaporation with an extremely high evaporation performance (more litres per day), thereby reducing both the time and cost requirements, for example for draining catchment containers and installing condensation drain pipes. The system also increases works safety by avoiding the danger of puddles of condensation on the floor.
