Guaranteed measurement quality using intelligent electronics

UWT GmbH is offering a self diagnostic function, within its Vibranivo model series (vibrating forks for level measurement in bulk solids). The electronics not only provide a full, or empty signal, but also via an led show the quality of the signal. A possible damping of the measurement signal, for example, through material stuck in the fork, will be recognised early, without having to take the sensor out of operation.

The measuring signal output can be appropriately selected, depending on the information analysis, as either the standard 4-20mA or 8/16mA. By selecting the output signal 4-20mA (output signal is proportional to the vibration amplitude), detailed information about diminishing signal quality via an appropriate signal evaluator can be continuously shown. This means that it is possible to see at all times how reliable the signal is.

Incorrect measurement signals can be prevented though early detection and maintenance – the consistent quality of the measurement is guaranteed.

Via a test button connected to the electronics it is possible to effortlessly carry out a function test of the sensor by simulation of full detection.
