The optris CS series

Optris presents two new compact infrared temperature sensors: The optris CS and optris CSmicro are innovative, very small and compact infrared thermometers for the industrial use. The sensors combine high quality and accuracy of metrological parameters in a temperature range between -20 and 350°C with a rugged, high-grade mechanical implementation in stainless steel housing and an attractive price per measuring point.The sophisticated technology was designed for OEM customers, who have been avoiding infrared measurement principles due to high expenses. The optris CS shows compact dimensions with stainless steel housing with a M12-thread of 14 mm in diameter and 87 mm length, integrated electronics with LED display and a smart sighting support.

With rugged coated silicon optics the CS can be used in surroundings of up to 75°C ambient temperature without cooling. Further features are: a scalable analog output of 0 10 V or 0 5 V, adjustable signal processing, short circuit and polarity reversal protection, USB programming interface with software and a wide power range of 5 7 or 12 - 28 V DC.The optris CSmicro with dimensions of M12 thread of 14 mm in diameter and 28 mm length in stainless steel housing holds a special highlight: The processing electronics are integrated in the sensor cable which facilitates small sensor dimensions. Additionally to the features of the CS, the CSmicro provides a further programmable simultaneous alarm output for fast analysis and switching operations.

A very short response time of 30 ms (CS and CSmicro) brings an excellent technical innovation to the sensor market segment.The technology company Optris GmbH specializes in the development, production and sales of contactless infrared thermometers.
