MPI12x available with immediate effect!

profichip GmbH has delivers now the Multi Point Interface ASIC MPI12x in Mass-Production.
The new ASIC (PQFP44) is a looked-for all-rounder, which alternatively can be used as:

• MPI-Controller,
• PROFIBUS Slave (DP, DP-V1/V2) or
• Serial High-Speed-interface (12Mbit/s)
  

With this configuration a wide scope of use is opening up. Especially for manufacturers of Operator Panels, HMI devices and universal-interface-cards MPI12x will be a primary solution.

The chip is operated on 3,3V (inputs supporting 5V) and disposes of 4kB RAM communication memory. MPI12x includes a configurable 8-Bit-µController-Interface. The PROFIBUS protocol processing is integrated into hardware with the Core of VPC3+C as basis completed by the DP-V2-service clock synchronization.

As serial interface the MPI12x is supporting synchronous/asynchronous protocols up to 12 Mbit/s.

For quick and easy integration of the MPI12x profichip offers a complete Evaluation-System with supplementary software-libraries and Software for Demonstartion use as well.
