Olympus Life and Material Science Europa amalgamate the fields of Microscopy and Diagnostics. The Diagnostics Division is a system provider for medical in ­vitro diagnostics with a long tradition in the product segments of clinical chemistry, electrophoresis and pre-transfusion testing. ­During Medica in November, they will release the first performance data of their groundbreaking new AU3000i immunoassay system. Additional highlights will include the AU-Connector which enables clinical chemistry and immunoassay analyzers to be linked, OLA robotic solutions and advanced data handling software. Taken together these advances mark a significant step towards the stated Olympus goal of becoming a provider of complete clinical laboratory solutions.
