Cabinet with Wing Doors

Two questions gave wings to the inventive talent of the asecos think tank: Can the exemplary ergonomics of asecos safety cabinets be further improved? Can the accustomed use be optimised further still? Result: Two technical inventions for ingeniously easy handling answer the questions with a clear yes.

The asecos specialists named the first invention AGT. This technical abbreviation stands for Asynchronously Coupled Door opening mechanism with innovative guiding mechanism. This means that the user is able to simultaneously open both cabinet doors with one movement of the hand and an incomparable ease. Asynchronisation of the doors renders possible this reduction in force. The first door opens first and the left door subsequently opens as if by magic. The inertial mass of two doors does not have to be simultaneously overcome.

The second invention is called TSA (automatic door closing system) and provides the revolutionary clou: Automatic closure of the doors without current supply. The closing element with negative spring characteristic ensures that the doors can be opened very easily and that they are securely engaged into the sealing elements in the final stage of the locking procedure. The pneumatic damping unit is the ideal solution for consistent gentle closure of the doors. 60 seconds after opening of the doors, a mechanical, time-controlled pulse generator disengages a pre-stressed bolt from its retaining element; this gives the pulse for release of the door locking device. The doors of the safety cabinet close automatically without current supply. This interaction saves the user 60% of the effort normally required to use the cabinet.
