3D Security Screening Breakthrough

3DX-Ray Ltd has been collaborating with Sharp Laboratories of Europe to enable X-ray screening of bags and luggage to move to the next level – 3D images without glasses. In recent years both companies have been at the forefront of 3D imaging technology. 3DX-Ray Ltd developed X-ray systems that first enabled real-time 3D security screening to be brought to the marketplace earlier this year, while Sharp's innovative new display screens can switch from 2D to 3D in an instant and do not require the
user to wear special glasses.

3DX-Ray continues to work with Sharp to ensure that this new generation of display technology meets the high imaging requirements of the security screening sector. 3DX-Ray chief executive Nick Fox comments: 'Having worked with Sharp Laboratories over many months, 3DX-Ray Limited is delighted to see an emerging alternative to our established glasses-based 3D imaging systems.
